The 27th Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (SPVM) National Physics Conference, a three-day event, will be held together with the 2025 International Conference on Advanced Functional Materials and Nanotechnology (ICAFMN2025), 2025 International Meeting on Complex Systems (IMCS2025), 2025 International Conference on Particles and Radiation (ICPR2025), ST&I National Pitching Competition on SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) 2025, and 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Nanomaterials Addressing Environmental Challenges on October 23-25, 2025 at University of San Agustin, Iloilo City.

It will bring together experts in theoretical physics, high energy physics, materials science, and complex systems both from the international scientific community and from our pool of local experts in addition to renowned physics educators in the country. It will also serve as a platform for young scientists and students to appreciate and hopefully contribute to these growing fields such as new advancements in physics and generate new knowledge for the scientific community.

Generally, SPVM2025 Conference devotes on (a) Physics Content Development, (b) Research and Innovation Collaboration, (c) Scientific Community Engagement, and (d) Research Abstract Publication among others. The conference will outline and showcase scientific presentations and posters on the recent advancements in the fields of materials science, photonics, computational physics, high energy physics, nanotechnology, biophysics as well as assessment and pedagogy in physics teaching for high school and tertiary levels.

Invited speakers to this multi-fold conference are our own local physics experts, our collaborators from Australia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Portugal, Poland, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, and USA. Through the initiative of SPVM, local collaborations and partnerships continue to foster and maintained to eventually contribute in nation-building.

Registration Fees*

• Student – Php 3,000.00 (early bird registration available until August 30, 2025)
• Regular – Php 4,500.00 (early bird registration available until August 30, 2025)

*Registration fee covers SPVM annual membership fee, conference kit, and meals (snacks/lunch/banquet).
